Dark flower scarab beetle

Euphoria sepulcralis

Description:

This beetle was collecting pollen from a blooming horsemint flower. This beetle is a fairly common species in the United States. It has a black and white Spectacled elytra, with a slight green Iridescence towards the center of the elytra. It rested on this stick until it's wing were warm enough to fly away.

Habitat:

It is found in North America in countries such as Mexico and southern and Central United States. Mainly in gardens, parks, and fields.

Notes:

Was about an inch long.
