Nice shots of nice wasps! Paper wasps really aren't as aggressive as most people think they are. They are quite tolerant of human activity. If you've got a garden, be thankful you've got paper wasps. They will pick your veggies clean of all those munching worms that are eating your garden! Free labor!

I've lived with nests of paper wasps all over my porches and rooflines for over 20 years, and have yet to be stung. (Even had one on my mailbox, and on my garden hose holder. Never stung once. )
