Edward's Swimming Crab

Thalamita admete

Squint and you might miss it! This crustacean displayed amazing adaptation to its rocky tide pool environment, where it is commonly found. It's difficult to spot the crab in these underwater photos, despite it being in plain sight. This individual was 3+ inches long. Edward's swimming crab prefers to eat small fish.

This crab was spotted in the intertidal zone. It prefers tide pools.
