Meal Moth

Pyralis farinalis

Habitat:

There are no grain crops around here although there are fruit orchards some distance (over two kilometre) away and there may be livestock feed stored somewhere (notes regarding the Wiki references)

Notes:

# 14 feb 14 blood moth Thanks to stho002 for the identification. Now that it has been identified there is an earlier sighting with more brown on the wings and stronger colours on the abdomen. http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/170... This shows highly variable colouration although the patterns they form seem to unchanging.
