Moth

Description:

This is a beautifully patterned moth. It is small. One third of the body from head onwards is pure white. The rest of the body is mustard yellow with irregular white patches as if paint has peeled from the top and the white base layer has been exposed.

Habitat:

Neora Valley Jungle Camp. About 3 hours drive from the nearest town of Siliguri. Remote hilly forested area. Himalayan foothills. A bit of a moth paradise.

Notes:

I had thought that such a distinctive pattern would make ID-ing it easy. I was wrong.
