Grey Pansy

Junonia atlites

Description:

Not too sure why it is called a grey pansy, as it is brown, often more pink. Unmistakably junonia with the wing leading edge markings.

Habitat:

Adjacent to a small stream. Altitude 1000m.

Notes:

A shy butterfly and difficult to approach, only the sixth time that I have managed to collect an image in 18 months, despite being a fairly common sight.
