Ruddy Virbia

Virbia rubicundaria

Description:

Small orange moth with blue-gray eyes. I don't think this is Orange Virbia (Virbia aurantiaca) because it doesn't seem to have any markings whatsoever. The antennae are relatively short compared to the body length

Habitat:

Grassy area in an area that was regrowing with weedy plants after being disturbed, presumably to make the path in and out of the Bearhead Hammock Recreational Area
