Cherry Scalloped Shell Moth

Rheumaptera prunivorata

Habitat:

Found under our back door light at night.

Notes:

Caterpillars feed on azalea, meadowsweet, willow and cherry trees. A wild cherry tree is leafing out within 30 feet of its location. Of course there are plenty of azaleas nearby also.
