Poltys elevatus
Saw this 'Twig' looking Spider during a night walk. It has constructed its webbing to catch its prey, our lights attracted the Moth, which flew into the webs. Pics #1, #2 and #3 shows the sequence of it catching a Moth. Pic #4 shows close up of it with its tiny eyes. Pics #5 & #6 shows it resting on a twig to camouflage perfectly.
Tropical forest.

Great series Albert.
Like a creepy version of 'Thing' from the Addams Family.
Your spotting has been nominated for the Spotting of the Week. The winner will be chosen by the Project Noah Rangers based on a combination of factors including: uniqueness of the shot, status of the organism (for example, rare or endangered), quality of the information provided in the habitat and description sections. There is a subjective element, of course; the spotting with the highest number of Ranger votes is chosen. Congratulations on being nominated!
