Description:

Nest about 13" across. Entrance hole about 1", with heavy traffic in an out . Soldiers have the large heads. Lesser workers have the smaller heads. These clear the immediate area of all plants, sticks, and other debris- making the nest visible from a considerable distance.

Habitat:

Sandy areas.

Notes:

Their bite is said to be extremely painful. Venom isn't actually dangerous to the average person - but just much more painful.
