This caterpillar is bluish green in colour with distinctive brownish v-shaped markings running down its body. I would call it medium sized for a caterpillar as the flower it was on is about 3 inches across. I spotted it along the path running along the beach on the Aegean Coast of Turkey. I have tried to identify it but have not been able to find a match with these v-shaped markings. I wonder if it could be a Dot Moth caterpillar? I am now fairly sure it is a Moth caterpillar but I have still not been able to identify it.
