Description:

A brilliant cerise pink member of the rose family introduced from eastern Asia as the name suggests. It has naturalised itself across Europe. A large shrub that forms a dense thicket and grows between 1-1.5m tall.

Habitat:

found growing wild on the side of a pathway at the Old moor reserve owned by the RSPB.
