Small Milkweed Bug

Lygaeus kalmii

Description:

My 100th spotting! I know it only shows 97, but there's a glitch; this really is #100 (I've already talked to some Noah Rangers and they're doing what they can to work it out). This bug has a distinctive black heart shape with two black dots right above it outlined in reddish-orange.

Habitat:

A gravel alley in my neighborhood

Congrats on Spotting #100! Hopefully the system will get repaired and your spotting count will catch up. :-)
