Chorus frog

Pseudacris

Description:

This is the first year that I have heard immensely loud and very large groups of chorus frogs. The first ones I heard were in a wetlands and even though they may have been right in front of me, I couldn't see them. They blend in very well with their surroundings and become quiet if you come very close. A colleague spotted this one for me! I did finally spot some myself - a mating pair that couldn't escape quite so fast.

Habitat:

Mason Farm Biological Reserve
