Both are powder blue with darker abdomen tip (this is an older female having attained the blue colour transforming from the brown/yellow), double set of wings, transparent with smokey out wings. Predatory catching insects in flight.
Found in several regions throughout Australia, a common specimen in eastern Australia near ponds, still water, billabongs. These ones near man made dam in dry woodland environment in northern NSW.
