Eastern worm snake

Carphophis amoenus

Description:

Though this snake is quite abundant over its range, it is rarely seen because of its dormant lifestyle and where it usually resides.

Habitat:

My yard

Notes:

It slithered away very quickly so I couldn't get a shot of the head. Perhaps a glass lizard?
