Description:

A medium-sized owl with a round head and small ear tufts on the top of the head. Prefers open areas.

Habitat:

Spotted at the Billy Frank Jr. Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge. Perched on trees with a view of the mudflats and surrounding grasslands.
