Queen Butterfly

Danaus gilippus?

Description:

The butterfly has a wingspan of approximately 3.5 in. It has burnt orange wings and body. The wings have small white forewing spots the underside has large white spots. The hindwings have burnt orange spots in a black border. Butterfly is pollinating a Zinna flower in my butterfly garden.

Habitat:

Backyard flower bed. The butterflies favor the zinnas.

Notes:

I may be witnessing a migration because I see a butterfly for only one to several days.
