Oecophorid moth

Eulechria melesella

Description:

A white, slightly 'furry' moth about 15 mm long. Wings were held flat against the ground and had brown specks. Trailing wing margins showed small brown specks that bordered the margins. Might have had re-curved labial palps.

Habitat:

Near sports field with native trees and ornamental plants.

Fyn, I could not find any match amongst Australian Elachistidae. I might have missed something but for now, I'll wait for confirmation of the Oecophorid moth ID. Thanks for your help - really appreciate it.

If this was spotted in the US I would say it's in the family Elachistidae.
