moth

Description:

large moth

Habitat:

tropical rainforest

Notes:

I spotted this on the window inside the guesthouse 'dining' area. I took a photo and then tried to move a table closer so I could get some better pics. I asked for permission and some help to move the table and when we did, the moth got spooked and flew away. The locals helping me didn't know it was there. Tangkoko National park.

Thanks for the suggestion Viv, but I'm not 100% sure it's E. phalonia.
