Description:

Small canid that has a gray and brown body with a fluffy tail.

Habitat:

Sleeping in a tree outside the building my office is in at my school.

Notes:

My first fox to see in the daytime, and my first photos of a fox. It was super exciting!

Thanks! I have the 7D, have had it since July. Had the T3i before it. Might have helped weather was actually good this day, and it never is here lol.

Thanks everyone! Tom, we found him on campus, the only way to get away from college kids is up in the trees :) I had my 400mm lens on, and didn't crop these. I wish I had some further out pictures, but it wasn't really possible with my lens lol

Congrats on seeing the fox in the daytime and getting a nice set of pictures! I've heard Gray Foxes could climb trees, but have never seen on up there like yours.

Thanks Nayeli, Luis, Reza, and Antonio! Luis, we saw him earlier in the day sitting on a bench, then some kid chased him and we lost track of him (except my friend studying mammals was able to find a poop sample that came out when he was being chased haha), then saw him sleeping in this tree a few hours later. It was a real treat!
