Yes, very friendly and genuine people despite their past. I was just in Vietnam and Laos in the winter of 2009/10. I think you will like it there as well. I've added a number of spottings from each country.

I was really impressed not only by the beauty of the country but also of their people and felt very sorry for the still recent genocide. Cambodia has lots to see and enjoy.
I also want to visit Laos and Vietnam next. Let´s see .-)
Thanks Elsa!

I knew it! I had a feeling it was Banteay Srei too by the entrance of the temple. Yes, Ankgor Wat is a must see. I spent a month in Cambodia back in 2003.

It is actually from Banteay Srei. I was in Cambodia last February and indeed I was also in Angkor Wat. Is awesome this country. A definitive must see :-)
As for the napoleon, since he is green and blue is hard to make a pic where the colors are contrasted from the blue of the water so I decided to show him in B& W for better appreciation of the patterns.

This does almost look cooler in B+ W! But I'm glad there is a color pic too. Is your profile pic from Ankgor Wat? It's very small but that's what it looks like.
