White-Lined Sphinx Moth Caterpillar

Hyles Lineata

Description:

Big green caterpillar with red, black and yellow markings and what looks like a single yellow horn.

Habitat:

My garden in full sun. It was attached to a vine that I think was wild morning glory, although I don't see that plant listed in its preferred plants to eat.

Notes:

I moved it to a white piece of paper to photograph it then put it back in the garden.
