Mottled Short-snouted Tree Frog

Isthmohyla lancasteri

Description:

Small to medium sized tree frog with short snout, up to 1.5" (38mm) in length

Habitat:

Found in Costa Rica and Panama in middle elevation humid forests.

Notes:

I spotted this species on an epic 5 hour night hike at Guayacan Forest Reserve. I had help from the owner who knows where to find nearly all the amphibian species in his reserve. The iridescent green color is difficult to capture but I think I did okay.
