Cladonia coniocraea
The podetia is grey-green, slender and tapering to a point or terminating in a very narrow cup no wider than the podetium. It is sorediate in the upper part, corticate and usually squamulose near the base. The basal sqamules are incised, white beneath, often sparsely sorediate on margins and underside. Apothecia, although rare, are brown and grow up to 1.5 mm in diameter.
Common in woods among moss at base of trees or on rotting stumps. It is pollution resistant and can also be found in urban areas.
