Ear Moth

A⁠mphipoea sp.

Description:

There are four species in Norway, the most common is Amphipoea fucosa. All is variable in color and also the color of the ear-shaped markings on the forewings. The species are so alike that it is not usually reliable to distinguish them without genital examination.

Habitat:

On the wall beside the entrance door.
