Crocothemis sanguinolenta
A medium-sized dragonfly with scarlet colouration and a long, slender body. Its eyes are large and positioned close together on top of the head. Two pairs of membranous wings with visible veins running through them and characteristic dark spots near the tip of the wing. Often has a small patch of amber at the base of the wings. (ARKive)
Spotted in a coastal desert wadi darting between dry and semi-green plants.
