Western bluebird (male)

Description:

The Western Bluebird (male) has bright blue upperparts and wings with some brownish patches. Orange breast and sides. Easily distinguished from bluebirds by the male's blue throat and female's gray throat.

Habitat:

Spotted along the Wenas Road in eastern Washington.

Notes:

Thet nest in cavities or nest boxes. Several nest boxes have been established along the Wenas and Umptanum Roads.
