Description:

Adults have a slow, weak flight, and are usually found flying in the forest understory. Males patrol during the day to find receptive females. Caterpillars eat leaves. They tend to have two medium-sized eyespots on the hindwing, one small eyespot on the hindwing, and one on the forewing, in addition to several minute eyespots.

Habitat:

Seen at Mason Farm Biological Preserve.
