Description:

Its wings feature an orange and black pattern, and over most of its range it is seen as mimic of the Monarch butterfly. It can be distinguished from the Monarch by its smaller size and the post-median black line that runs across the veins on the hindwing.

Thanks, LunaMoon34. There were lots of monarchs in the reserve that day but I only saw this one viceroy.
