Lady Beetles

Coccinellidae

Description:

Possibly a milkweed beetle? Mostly black with some orange showing

Habitat:

Crawling on the leaf of a plant in a prairie-grass field, very close to the entrance into the woods, with fresh water (Lake Blanche) close by. In this area there are many milkweed plants but this particular beetle was not on one at the time I took this picture

AshleyT-Thank you! I know there are ladybugs and Asian Lady Beetles and couldn't tell which one this might be in larvae stage so went with a more generic family name instead. Correct me if I'm wrong, okay?
