Achalarus toxeus
A very dark brown spreadwing skipper butterfly with some lighter markings. Identified by the pointy forewings and the white fringe on hindwings. Wingspan is 42–50 mm.
Spotted nectaring on lantana at the Falcon Lake Stae Park butterfly garden in Star County, Texas. The surrounding area is "thorny scrubland" habitat.
Adults feed on flower nectar and are the wing from February to November.
