Description:

Bearded tooth is a mushroom that is large, whitish, has a beardlike mass, with long teeth. Grows on trunks of living trees, especially oak, maple and beech. They range from south United States, Florida to California. Also called Lion’s Mane and Hedgehog Mushroom.

Habitat:

This bearded tooth was spotted in the swamp on a living tree at St Bernard State Park, Braithwaite, Louisiana.
