Average-sized moth (~28mm. Males like this one have an even brownish grey forewing with jagged white and dark PM and AM lines, occasionally with a visible dark discal spot. The hindwings are light grey, with a dark discal spot and a faint pale PM line.

Hodges#6258; This is a male as the females are wingless. Adults are on wing from fall to early winter. Oak and hackberry (host plants for caterpillars) are in the immediate vicinity of the spotting.
