Distinctive underwing pattern indicates Mariposa Copper. Lifer!
Subalpine on Blackwall Peak, Manning Park, BC. Roadside yarrow and thistles were alive with butterflies as the meadows themselves were very dry and gone to seed after a 2 month drought in sw BC.
