A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
Dumetella carolinensis
An overall gray bird with a long tail. The bill is short and black, and there is a black patch on top of the head. Their call sounds like a cat meowing.
They are found in North America, east of the Rockies. In winter, they migrate to Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean. They inhabit semi-open areas and are common in urban areas.
