Kallitaxila granulata

Description:

Kallitaxila granulata (Stål, 1870), of familyTropiduchidae, subfamily Tambiniinae, tribe Tambiniini, called the Grainy Planthopper. Considered a mild agricultural pest, it is a chubby planthopper, about 5mm in size. Body is bright green, with dorsal white stripes on head and thorax. Wings are clear with whitish granular spots. Habitat:

Backyard. Spotted these grainy planthoppers on the taro and sweet potato leaves, and the other one on a dead branch near these plants.
