Description:

White, woolly galls produced on the flowers on a Northern Red Oak. Sometimes the galls can be greenish or rose tinted. Galls are made by the larvae of a tiny wasp. Image 4 for tree ID purposes.

Habitat:

Sears Bellows County Park, New York. Trail side within the park, oak and pitch pine woodlands. Northern Red Oak.

Notes:

They got a bit wet from the rainstorm from the previous two days.
