Pyrrhartia isabella
Beautiful moth about 1 1/4inches long with hairy light gold antennae, dark feet and proboscis, row of dark reddish brown spots down center of back, tawny gold colour with rusty wave lines on the wings. Lots of very fine hairs on its head and body.
Pacific northwest temperate rainforest, hot summer day, cool pleasant evenings with lots of mosquitos. This moth arrived on our sheet about 10 pm and stayed for about 15 minutes until I invited it to crawl on my finger and it flew away instead.
First moth to appear on our sheet at about 10 pm for our Moth Event.
Now I see that this is a generalist feeder and so I can expect the eggs, larvae and pupae just about anywhere in my garden.
Thanks, Fyn, for another ID!! I love this one. I see that I also have a caterpillar spotting for this moth. Will add it here:

So now I have the caterpillar and the moth - just 2 more stages of the lifecycle of this moth to get....hmmm where to look? must find out the host plant of this one now.
