Ruby-throated hummingbird

Archilochus colubris

Description:

The hummingbirds can be quite territorial around the feeders, although they sometimes will tolerate another bird for a little while. These two were challenging each other at the feeders for at least 90 minutes. Occasionally, they would allow the other to feed at the same time, but that is not usually the case.

Habitat:

My yard
