About 5 mm in length, all black.

Habitat:

Strongly associated with the foliage of sunflower (Helianthus annuus) in shortgrass prairie habitat with yucca, prickly-pear cacti, and scattered elm trees.

Notes:

This species is common this year, has been scarce or absent in previous years.
