Snapdragon

Antirrhinum majus

Description:

The Snapdragon is an herbaceous perennial plant, this plant here some 75 cm tall, with the erect stems and spirally arranged lanceolate leaves. The flowers are large and attractive, some 4 cm long, and pink to purple flowers, with yellow lips.

Habitat:

The Snapdragon is native to Mediterranean, and often found in rocky places and cliffs, old walls. Here, on top of garden walls in urban setting. This one I've been observing over years, and every season it starts anew - the last season stalk with dried fruits is seen on photos N° 4, 5 & 6.
