Italian Wall Lizard

Description:

I suppose this was the Italian wall lizard, also known as Ruin or Istanbul lizard. Here some 10 cm long body (snout-to-vent), with a tail roughly as long. Predominantly bright green, with black pattern on sides.

Habitat:

Native to Balkans, Italy, France and Switzerland; and common within this range. It was introduced elsewhere. The species is found in Mediterranean climate, in various habitats (gardens, rocky and sandy shores, edges of forests).
