Seen in totally urban setting of Cox's Bazar, on borders of some small paddy fields and ponds.
This is the national bird of Bangladesh, and is called the Doel or Doyel in bangla language. As national symbol, it appears on national currency notes, and there is also a monument to this bird in Dhaka.
