Sign In to follow@Ingrid3 @armadeus.4 Thanks for your positive comments. As we arrived at the top of the cliff a few Tropicbirds came over to check us out allowing some nice close-up work.
Vedkarve - The Huntsman spider is very common in NSW. Everyone seems to have at least one "Huntsman in my car" story. To answer your question, they don't spin webs but do hunt down their prey - thus the name. The Wolf Spider, which also lives in this area does the same.
@akereemo245 That was one of the few from that day which was safely released.
I love these little guys. We rescued one a few years ago, and I had no idea what it was. They are apparently "common" but I have only ever seen one. Great shot :-)
Thanks Gary. Do you mean you personally, or for your mission?
Nice clear shot Mark. You didn't hang around for the "after" shot?
Your images are all so great!
Thanks Neil, I was involved in rescuing 300 bats on the 8th and 18th January this year. By the end of the day several humans were also suffering heat exhaustion. We lost more than we could save, but we did everything we could. We have only just released some of the flying-foxes that were rescued in January.
Thanks Mark, I've been around a long while, but that's the first time someone has complemented me on my Noctuid :-D
